This Privacy Policy describes how JoshJWGM ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you visit joshjwgm.com, submit an application or contact form, or otherwise interact with this site. It does not govern engagements themselves — those are covered by our Terms of Engagement and any executed Statement of Work.
01

Overview

JoshJWGM is a strategic architecture practice operated by Josh Williams, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. We collect only the information needed to respond to inquiries, evaluate fit for engagements, operate this website, and maintain internal records related to applications and client work.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

02

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you submit an architecture application, contact form, or related inquiry, we may collect:

  • Name, email address, company, and role
  • Engagement type selected and description of your structural challenge
  • Revenue range, timeline, website, and other optional context fields
  • Ignition application details — idea, problem, execution history, cohort preference, and co-founder acknowledgment
  • Contact inquiry type, brand of interest, and message content
Information Collected Automatically

When you visit this site, our server may automatically record standard technical data, including:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps

Application submissions may also store the submitting IP address for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.

Admin & Authorized Users

Authorized admin users of this site authenticate with email and password. Admin activity may be logged for security and operational purposes. This policy primarily addresses visitors and applicants; personnel with admin access are subject to separate internal access controls.

03

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review applications and contact submissions and respond to inquiries
  • Evaluate fit for ClarityOS engagements, Ignition cohort selection, and schedule alignment conversations
  • Operate, maintain, and secure this website and its forms
  • Prevent spam, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Maintain internal CRM, submission, and operational records
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Engagement
We do not use application or contact information for unrelated marketing lists. If you submit an inquiry, we may follow up regarding that inquiry or a related engagement — not for unrelated promotional outreach.
04

Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Hosting, email delivery, or infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or court order
  • Protection of rights: To investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents, or to protect the rights and safety of JoshJWGM, clients, or others
  • Business transfer: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required by law

Confidential information shared during an engagement is governed by the confidentiality provisions in our Terms of Engagement, not merely this Privacy Policy.

05

Data Retention

We retain application and contact submissions for as long as needed to evaluate fit, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations. Submission data may be retained after an engagement decision — including if we decline an application — unless you request deletion and we have no overriding legal or operational reason to retain it.

Server and security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.

06

Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information submitted through this site, including encrypted passwords for admin accounts, CSRF protection on forms, rate limiting on public submissions, and restricted access to stored application data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You submit information at your own risk.
07

Cookies & Sessions

This site uses essential session cookies to operate forms and admin authentication. These cookies are required for basic site functionality — for example, CSRF tokens on application and contact forms, and session management for authorized admin users.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this site. When analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated page-view and usage data (see Third-Party Services). Fonts may be loaded from Google Fonts.

08

Your Choices & Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the information in the Contact section below.

We will verify requests to the extent reasonable and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may retain certain information where required for legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information as defined under California law.

09

Third-Party Services

This site may link to external websites — including portfolio brand sites — that are not operated by JoshJWGM. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

We use Google Fonts to serve typography. When fonts are loaded, Google may receive your IP address and basic browser information under Google's own privacy policy.

When configured, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, referral source, device type, and similar usage metrics. GA4 may set first-party cookies and send event data to Google. We do not use GA4 for advertising or cross-site remarketing. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by GA4: policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of GA4 on other sites using Google's browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

10

Children's Privacy

This site and our engagements are directed at business founders and executive teams. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be posted here. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
